I took a little hiatus from blogging over the past few weeks. I needed some time to focus on other areas of my life, relax and enjoy time with friends and family and now I’m ready to start fresh in the new year.
I also have some big news to share…
I’m pregnant! Our little one is due in June. I am so excited but being pregnant is also another reason why I needed a little break. I was lucky enough to have very mild morning sickness but I have been very picky with food. Often times nothing or very few foods actually sound good to eat. I sometimes have to force myself to eat something. It’s not that I’m not hungry it’s just certain smells or foods are a big turn off. I used to cook meals most of the time but since becoming pregnant I have started ordering out a lot because of the food aversions and so I haven’t been cooking many dishes to post on the blog! I did do a lot of Christmas baking and made iced sugar cookies, fudge, snowballs and cherry coconut treasures as baking sweets doesn’t seem to bother me all that much ;-).
It has also been a bit challenging finding the time to blog since I’ve also been very busy with my day job – building and editing websites and working on graphic design projects. And we are busy with more projects around the house, like finally starting on our master bedroom closet, and then when that’s done we will be working on the nursery. I say “we” but it will mostly be the husband doing the labor…no pun intended, hah!
I’m hoping in the next few weeks the food aversions will subside and I will have some new dishes to share with y’all. If nothing else, be sure to follow me on Pinterest as I’m on there quite often pinning away tasty recipes, delectable sweets, home improvement projects, crafts and more!
It’s that time again…time for Finley Friday! Can you believe it? Another week has come and gone. Where does the time go? I can’t get over how handsome this little guy is (and he sure knows it, can we say spoiled?!) Happy Friday to you all! <3
Happy Friday from this funny guy! I was doing some yoga before bed the other night and I look over to see Finley with his face between the bars of his cage. He likes to be a little jailbird and put his paws through too…it doesn’t look very comfy to me but he seems to think so.
Two days ago – on the first official day of Fall we had a cool front. It was so nice out that I opened the windows for some fresh air. Finley curled up on the couch next to the window so he could enjoy the cool breeze and look out the window in between his naps.
We finally moved the couches in from the garage after we finished painting the ceilings in the living room. Let me just say that a recliner couch weighs a ton and I don’t have a lot of upper body strength – but somehow – the hubby and I managed to get it through 2 doorways and into the living room. I think Finley was happy to have one of his favorite nap spots back, don’t you think?
