How to Mak Homemade GranolaI can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make homemade granola! It’s so easy and tastes pretty awesome too. Homemade granola can be customized with all kinds of mix-ins, everything from dried fruit to chocolate chips to roasted nuts.
Granola is great for a grab and go snack – or – for a special treat, I like to mix it into some plain yogurt and add some fresh fruit. Yum!

How to make granola

Gather your ingredients:
1) Grains– I used a mixture of old fashioned rolled oats and puffed rice.
2) Pre-Bake Mix-ins – I used some chopped almonds and shredded coconut.
3) Oil & Sugar– I used coconut oil and honey
4) Post-Bake Mix-ins– I used dried cranberries and roasted pistachios
Once you have your granola ingredients just mix them together and bake.

  1. 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil, melted
  2. 2 Tablespoons Honey (increase the honey if you like things on the sweeter side)
  3. 1 Cup Puffed Rice Cereal
  4. 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Oats
  5. 1/2 Cup Almonds, chopped
  6. 1/2 Shredded Sweetened Coconut
  1. -In a small bowl, melt the coconut oil and stir in the honey.
  2. -In another bowl mix together the oats, puffed rice, almonds and shredded coconut.
  3. -Pour the coconut oil and honey over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well coated.
  4. -Spread out the granola on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. -Bake at 300 degrees for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. (The Granola will turn brown and toasty.)
  6. -Be sure to keep an eye out as it can burn easily.
  7. -Allow to cool a little before stirring in your post bake mix-ins.
