Grilled Pork Chops and Pork RubI’ve used different flavor combinations and seasonings to cook pork chops and while they were good, they just didn’t have that special something. Well, I think I may have just discovered the secret to a juicy and flavorful piece of meat that will leave your taste buds dancing. I mixed up this pork chop rub, marinated my pork chops and then grilled them up. The result was surprising: I felt like I was eating a piece of steak. Can you guess what the secret ingredient is?
Grilled Pork Chops and Pork RubCoffee! Using coffee grounds in the pork chop rub may seem strange but it doesn’t taste like coffee. Instead, it imparts a nice deep and earthy flavor to your pork chops that is absolutely delicious.
Grilled Pork Chops and Pork rub

Pork Rub

1 Tablespoon Coffee Grounds
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Paprika
1/2 Teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 Teaspoon Sugar
-Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Grilled Pork Chops

4-5 Pork Chops (or you can use pork tenderloin)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil, enough to coat meat
Pork Rub (see recipe above)
-Coat the pork chops lightly in oil.
-Massage the pork rub into the meat on both sides, until coated.
-Marinate for at least an hour or more.
-Preheat grill.
-Remove the pork chops from the marinade and place on the grill.
-Grill 4-5 minutes on each side.
-Remove from the grill and lightly cover with aluminum foil.
-Allow the pork chops to rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
